Christopher Wernick
PhD Candidate, Archaeology

I am an archaeologist and project manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District. I have been in my current position for over four years and prior to my current position, I was an archaeologist and project manager with the Walla Walla District located in southeastern Washington.  My primary interests in archaeology are Paleoindian technology and culture.  I am truly fascinated by these first inhabitants of North and South America, and there is so much left to learn about these people.

When I am not working or doing schoolwork, I like to spend my time with my wife and our two children. We like to spend our time outdoors either with sports or hunting and fishing.  I like to take long weekends and float various rivers in Kentucky and Indiana fishing for smallmouth bass.
